hi

I successfully claimed last year for £2000 against halifax for overdraft and unpaid items. since i have incurred a further £900 or so and as i havent kept up to date with the banking situation i have a few questions:

1. does the lloyds/halifax merger/government intervention change the process of claiming back fees ?

2. i sent a prelim for half the 900 back in march and didnt follow up at the time... can i just go straight to LBA now and ask for the additional money that has been added ? do i need a bespoke LBA for this ?

3. anything else that might have changed since i claimed march 2007 ?

many thanks in advance

Hiya,

The merger won't interfere with your claim, so yes you should go ahead with it.

As it was a while ago, it might be a good idea to resend the prelim letter, with an updated spread sheet with all new charges.

There is a good chance it will get stayed at court, but if it does you will get all the added interest.

Can you claim hardship?

thanks sea side for the reply. unfortunately I cant claim hardship, just lack of organisation and poor self discipline.

having read some other posts i am concerned about the imminent decision early 2009, and the backlog of claims that will be prioritised - would it not be in my interests to continue my stalled prelim claim now, as this dated back to march ?

thanks
