Well i started out alone on the 22nd September sent fist letter got normal response .Sorry to hear your not happy but tuff s....... kinda thing, send second letter again last response said no way hosa .Thing is were a family of 4 small kids and in the last 6 years ive added up all bank charge to £8229.62 We admit to going over drawn as we constanly rob from peter to pay paul so by time hubby wages come in over £200 goes to charges to off we go again.Anyway i have all statements back to year 2000 and am now putting it off because i cant get my head around the spread sheets.Oh and the bank during a phone call i made to the recovery department said they wouldnt be interested to see arun down i was not to bother. Iwould also poss be exempt from the court charge as i get child tax credit so printed of the exempt certificate to file in.Ijust wish i could hand everything to someone to do for me but solicitor wanted so much money.Im also worried if i loose what costs i will receive as my claim is so high and to brake it into claims would really be to hard for me.

I know if the claim is over £5000 then it may not be eligable for the small claims track when allocated by the judge. I'm not an expert on this field but some people split their claim in two to keep each claim under the £5000 limit, you'll need to look into this.

So far every case has been settled by LloydsTSB. The banks do not want to go to court. But you must be prepared to go, if it gets that far. The recovery department won't even be dealing with the claim so don't listen to what they say. If your case follows suit it will go to Lloyds solicitors Sechari Mitchell & Clarke.

With most Lloyds cases settlement is usually forthcoming once a court date has been set. You have to be prepared for it to drag on, as they have a habit of playing the "stalling game".

Its an awfull lot of money to "let go". Have you anyone that could help you with the spreadsheet? It is fairly straight-forward. It calculates the interest for you.

Hi there.

Can you tell me what you have done so far?

Did you actually try to calculate the charges and interest from your bank statements using the spreadsheet before you sent the letters?

You do need to send them a breakdown, and this really needs to be done before you go to court.

RedFox

OK. Which spreadsheet are you using? The complicated one or the simple one?

Are you using the spreadsheet in the templates library or just excel on your computer?

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/182-6-interest-calculation-spreadsheets.html

then scroll down to the bottom and under banks click

england - simple - excel

insert the date you were charged and it will tally it all up and work out the interest for you.
